Our stay in the Full Moon Villa at White Pearl Villas was nothing short of amazing. The villa was EXACTLY as pictured online – bright, clean, and airy. The villa was located maybe 100 steps down, near the Canaves Oia Suites (another top hotel contender, but more expensive). It was a bit of a hike, but thankfully it wasn’t too steep. The view from our balcony was ABSOLUTELY stunning. Our balcony was somewhat private, so we didn’t see too many people while we were on it.
The service provided by the hotel was incredible. Tenia, our concierge, was amazing. She graciously booked our ATV, restaurant reservations, and helped us arrange transportation to the airport. We found the cell phone provided by the hotel incredibly helpful, and she answered our calls no matter what time it was.
One of our favorite things about the hotel was the breakfast (included in the nightly rate) at Passaggio’s, a restaurant located just up the stairs, at the beginning of the Oia walking path. We intended to order breakfast to the room one morning to eat on the balcony (a 10 euro fee), but forgot to, which was fine. The Greek and Wellness breakfasts were our favorites, and we really enjoyed the fresh squeeze orange juice as well as the tea and coffee selections.
The only thing that we didn’t have at the villa was an outdoor plunge pool. We considered it for a long time, but ended up deciding to go with a room without a plunge pool because of the season (which was a good decision!). Many of the outdoor private pools/Jacuzzis in Santorini are not heated, and it’s not really worth the extra cost in April when it’s not that hot outside. We explored during the day and didn’t spend a ton of time in the room, so the only time we would’ve used it would be at night and it was too chilly by then. The room did have an indoor Jacuzzi tub, which we put to good use.
This moderately priced hotel (relatively speaking) was a great choice for our Santorini stay. It had all the essentials – great view, beautiful design, excellent service – and the free breakfast was the icing on the cake for us. Each villa is quite different and we can only speak to our experience at the Full Moon Villa, but I would jump at the chance to stay at White Pearl Villas again!
